Tall narrow cabinet: a slim, full-height storage module

The tall narrow cabinet takes up minimal floor space yet holds a great deal. It fits into a narrow wall section, niche or corner where other furniture will not go. In the bathroom it replaces open shelving, keeping bottles, towels and household products out of sight. It is a practical place to store everything that usually sits on top of the washing machine and around the basin.

Our range includes models for bathrooms and WCs. The tall narrow cabinet is versatile in purpose, so we can make the same design for a hallway, bedroom, children’s room or study.

Where to use a narrow cabinet at home

The intended use determines the interior layout. The basic rule is simple: first decide what will go on the shelves, then how many doors and drawers are needed.

  • Bathroom and WC — shelves for towels and toiletries, a linen section for laundry, space for cleaning products.
  • Hallway — hooks for outerwear and a shoe rack below. A compact module is enough beside a bench.
  • Kitchen — shelves for dishes and supplies.
  • Children’s room and study — books, games, folders and documents behind doors.

Which type to choose: floor-standing, wall-mounted or built-in

A floor-standing option sits on a plinth or legs. A wall-mounted version leaves the floor clear, which makes cleaning the bathroom easier. A built-in unit is recessed into a niche and conceals pipes. An open version without doors works as a narrow shelving unit. A display cabinet with glass doors shows the contents, while a solid facade keeps everything else out of sight.

There can be one door, opening left or right, or a pair of hinged doors. Combination models pair closed sections with an open niche. A light is often fitted into the niche: illumination highlights the shelves and helps in the evening.

Height, depth and width

A tall narrow cabinet differs from a standard cabinet in its proportions: it is slim and full-height, often from floor to ceiling. Depth is chosen according to contents: shallow shelves are enough for bottles, while stacks of towels need more room. Width is based on the narrow wall section. Large straight models are assembled from two sections, while slim ones are installed in pairs. There is no upper limit; everything is made to suit the space.

Materials, facades and style

Materials we use: wood veneer, enamel, painted MDF with milling, glass in a metal frame. The carcass is made from quality E1-class materials. Modern models are smooth and handleless: doors open with a push or by the edge. Classic style means a framed facade, cornice and round handles. For a loft style, we recommend glass in a black frame and metal legs.

Popular shades are white, beige and brown wood tones, grey, olive and dark green. Facades are coordinated with tile and wall colours so the furniture sits harmoniously with the finishes. Attention to detail matters most here: handles, frame and lighting set the character.

What a custom tall narrow cabinet costs

The final quote depends on height, finish, number of doors, shelves with drawers and lighting. Budget-friendly solutions include an open module or a smooth facade. The team will outline the budget in advance. We offer several options for any budget.

You can place an enquiry on the website; our team will get in touch via Telegram, WhatsApp or email to answer questions and share information about the models. Our designer conducts a designer consultation, then we agree the sketch. Production takes from 3 weeks (with enamel or veneer facades, around 2 months).

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about custom furniture

Can't find an answer? Call us or send an enquiry — a designer will reply during business hours.

How much does a custom-sized tall cabinet cost?

The final quote depends on height, facade material, number of doors, drawers and lighting. The team provides the exact quote after the designer consultation and approval of the sketch.

Which model suits a small bathroom?

A narrow wall-mounted or built-in model is the best fit. A wall-mounted unit leaves the floor clear and visually lightens the room. A built-in unit is recessed into a niche and does not protrude into the passage. Light smooth handleless facades make a compact space feel calmer.

How does a wall-mounted option differ from a floor-standing one?

A wall-mounted unit is fixed to the wall, making it easy to clean the floor underneath. A floor-standing unit sits on a plinth or legs and can be taller and more capacious. The choice depends on the wall: for wall-mounted installation, it must be able to bear the load.

Can a tall cabinet be built into a niche and conceal the pipes?

Yes. A built-in model fills the entire niche and conceals utilities, including the concealed cistern. A removable panel or separate door is left for access to meters and valves.

Do you make models with glass doors?

Yes, that is a display cabinet. The glass can be clear, smoked or fluted, in a black, bronze or brass frame. Stacks of towels and bottles look attractive behind it, especially with lighting.

What are the fronts and carcass made of?

Facades are veneer, enamel, painted MDF or glass in a frame. The carcass is made from E1-class materials. Veneer gives a natural wood grain, enamel provides an even matt or gloss finish, and MDF allows for milling and fluting.

Are there handle-less models?

Yes. Doors open with a push or by the edge. Another option is a recessed handle that does not protrude beyond the facade. For a classic interior, small round brass-effect handles are used.

Can lighting be added?

Yes, an LED strip is built into open niches and under each shelf. The lighting helps you find what you need and works as a night light.

Do you make tall cabinets for the hallway, kitchen or kids' room?

Yes, for any area of the home. In the hallway, it means hooks and a shoe rack; in the kitchen, shelves for dishes; in the children’s room and study, places for books, games and documents. A narrow module complements other storage systems well.

How do I choose the height and depth?

Height is usually taken up to the ceiling so dust does not collect on top, or aligned with the mirror. Depth is chosen based on the largest item on the shelf. Width is determined by the wall section. All parameters are confirmed by our specialist during the designer consultation.

Are there ready-made models?

There are no ready-made items in stock. Each piece is made to order to your dimensions, in the chosen finish and with the required number of shelves.

How long does production take?

Production takes from 3 weeks (with enamel or veneer façades — about 2 months) after the sketch is approved.

How do I pay for an order?

Payment is made in three stages: 20% for documentation, 50% when production starts and 30% on completion. We accept cash and bank transfer, including from companies.
