Custom shelving: how the section is organised and what you can choose here

The section brings together models for the home: open and closed, freestanding and wall-mounted. The product cards can be conveniently filtered by type, front material, colours and purpose. Each card includes a description, interior layout and finish options to make it easier to compare the possibilities.

What shapes the construction and interior layout

We design each piece for your space, so height, depth and width are determined on site. Any size to suit your wall, without being tied to a standard grid. A specialist visits for designer consultation, the team calculates the cost, and we approve the sketch before production begins: this way we account in advance for walkways, windows and radiators. Inside, everything is provided for order: shelves, soft-close drawers, hanging rails, trouser racks, mesh baskets, lighting and mirrors.

  • Modular sections — assembled like a construction set and easy to rearrange. The storage system can be quickly reconfigured for new needs. We provide clear instructions for assembly and rearranging the sections. The catalogue offers a wide choice of modules for different needs.
  • Closed doors — conceal contents and protect from dust. This finish suits different rooms and looks neat. Closed sections are practical in everyday life and easy to clean.
  • Open niches — for books, decorative pieces and electronics: convenient to arrange and quick to access what you need.

Front and carcass materials

We make the carcass from E1-class materials, and the fronts from chipboard, MDF (painted, milled, fluted), enamel, veneer, glass (including Lacobel and profile-framed), patterned mirror. The veneered option offers the warm texture of oak and other species. We select materials to match the interior style: wooden and combined solutions look great in contemporary styles, including loft.

Where to place it: rooms and scenarios

This furniture suits the living room, study, bedroom, children's room and hallway. Our in-house workshop allows us to build each piece for a specific wall. In the living room, it provides a convenient TV zone: we place the television, with décor and plants alongside, while closed doors conceal cables and small items. In the study we store documents and books; in the children's room, toys and school supplies. For the hallway we make shoe racks, benches and coat hooks, configuring the interior around your needs at the sketch stage.

Use and care

Heavy items are best placed on the lower tier, lighter items above: this makes the piece more stable and longer-lasting. Wall fixings are essential for tall models, especially in homes with children or pets. Care is simple: a dry or slightly damp cloth, without abrasives. The frame is strong and withstands intensive use. Furniture warranty — 2 years, Blum hardware — 25 years. During assembly, follow the wall-fixing instructions, and when planning the interior layout, consider the load on each tier.

Pricing and how to order

The price depends on dimensions, front materials, interior layout and lighting. The team calculates the exact cost after designer consultation and discussion of the sketch. Production takes from 3 weeks (with enamel or veneer fronts — around 2 months) after approval of the sketch. Payment: 20% for documentation, 50% to start production, 30% on completion; cash with a 3% discount or bank transfer, including for legal entities.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about custom furniture

Can't find an answer? Call us or send an enquiry — a designer will reply during business hours.

What makes custom shelving different from ready-made?

It is designed around your wall and needs, rather than a standard grid: you choose the height, depth, number of sections and interior layout yourself. There are no ready-made items in stock — every piece is made to order, so the finished look appears only after final assembly. To order such furniture, simply submit an enquiry on the website.

What dimensions can I order?

Any size to suit your wall: during the designer consultation the designer records exact dimensions, and the design team accounts for walkways, windows and radiators. We do not set an upper size limit — you can order both low and large compositions, including for an irregular niche.

Which front materials are available?

Chipboard and MDF — painted, milled and fluted; enamel, veneer, glass in profile and Lacobel, patterned mirror. We make the carcass from E1-class materials. The range includes stylish designer solutions, including black and other colours, so the right shade can be matched to your interior.

What can I put inside?

Shelves, soft-close drawers, hanging rails, trouser racks, wire baskets, lighting and mirrors. We configure the internal layout around you: some areas need closed sections, others need open niches for quick access to belongings. This makes the piece versatile for different tasks.

Is a shelving unit suitable for a living room with a TV?

Yes, this is one of the most popular layouts: a TV zone in the centre, open shelves for décor and books around it, and closed doors concealing cables and smaller items. The result is beautiful and functional, and the zoning approach helps divide the room. This composition works well alongside a work area.

Can a shelving unit be used in a children's room?

Yes. For children we make stable designs anchored to the wall with a convenient lower level: toys and books go there, and the child can keep things tidy independently. Safety matters, so we choose the most reliable fixing. Parents often order a model that grows with the child, and equally simple, durable solutions work well for a country house.

How much does a custom shelving unit cost?

The cost depends on dimensions, materials, internal layout and lighting. The team prepares an exact quote after the designer consultation and discussion of the sketch; all terms are set out in the contract. We work without intermediaries, so pricing stays direct and quality is our advantage.

How does the ordering process work?

You submit an enquiry, the designer consultation is arranged, and the team prepares your quote. We then produce a 3D visualisation within 3–5 days of the enquiry and approve the sketch, after which production begins. You can request a quote on the website from home, and once the sketch is approved, the next step is to order the piece under the contract.

How long does production take?

From 3 weeks (with enamel or veneer façades — around 2 months) after sketch approval. The timeline depends on model complexity and selected materials; the exact date is fixed in the contract. During this time you can plan placement and finishes, decide which additional shelving units you need, and choose the internal layout and décor.

How does payment work?

20% — documentation, 50% — start of production, 30% — on completion. We accept cash with a 3% discount and bank transfer, including from corporate clients; instalments are not available. This payment schedule is convenient if you are planning custom furniture for your home.

Do you offer designer consultation and 3D visualisation?

Yes, the designer consultation is arranged, and the team prepares your quote. The 3D visualisation is ready within 3–5 days of the enquiry, so you can see in advance how the piece will sit in the interior. After the visualisation, it is easier to understand which shelves suit you and how everything will look.

Is there a warranty?

Furniture warranty — 2 years, Blum hardware — 25 years. All warranty matters are handled under the contract.
